How to set-up VPN in Windows Mobile

Microsoft recently updated its mobile operating system and added VPN support including IKEv2 IPsec protocol. If you follow this I will show you how to setup VPN with your Windows mobile phone.

What is VPN
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a network technology that creates a secure network connection over a public network such as the Internet or a private network owned by a service provider.

How to use

As many companies offer VPN. One of them is hide.me, its offer Free+ premium subscription. Follow the following steps to use this..

• Go to hide.me

•Choose First the first option i.e Free

•Enter your email address.

•Verify your email id.

When you successfully Verify your E-mail ID, it forwarded you to following steps:

•Choose operating system i.e windows phone 8.1.

Select Recommended/Manual there you will get following instructions :

Step 1: Open the settings and open "VPN"

Step 2: Click on "VPN set up"

Step 3: Click on "+"

Step 4: Enter the "server name". If you're a plus/premium member you could choose your desired location (i.e. nl.hide.me) here. If you're a free member please use free-nl.hide.me or free-ca.hide.me. Afterwards enter your username and password and click on "Save".

Step 5: Windows mobile automatically establishes a VPN connection

Now you connection is successfully established and secure.
